Getting Ready for Christmas

We're slowly making progress toward getting ready for Christmas. We've started watching Christmas movies, done a fair amount of shopping, and most importantly, we took the kids to see Santa Claus. For Bellingham friends, Industrial Credit Union and Evantide Photography team up every year to offer Santa pictures. You get a free 5x7--way better deal than the mall and nicer pictures too.

Anyways, Brian asked Santa Claus for a Wyoming Atlas and Matthew asked for a remote control train. Natalie didn't ask for anything, but at least she didn't cry.

We also made candy trains as part of our Christmas preparations. This is an activity that we used to do when I was a little girl so my mom sent us some kits to make them. Matthew was pretty excited about it, but Brian let Eric do most of the work on his (he doesn't really care about art projects at school either). I think he would have preferred to just eat the candy outright. Now that the trains are actually made though, they're reluctant to actually eat the candy. When I was a kid, I certainly didn't have any qualms of that sort.

Matthew's is the first one and Eric/Brian's is the second.
